Supplies

These are the items I like to keep on hand for theme weeks.  Mine (almost) exclusively come from Target since I am there once a week anyway, but you can find all of these at your local grocery, craft store, or Amazon.  Keep it simple...don't make special trips.

First up, paper: heavyweight paper, construction paper, card stock.  KISS Tip: Buy paper in pads because it keeps it neater for storage.

These next two items are my super secret weapons: 4"x6" blank index cards and kraft paper.  The index cards feed nicely through a photo printer (or the photo paper tray in a normal printer) so I can create printables to complement the theme weeks.  I'll show you all kinds of neat ways to use them!  And kraft paper, it's the best.  With just a black marker, a crumpled piece of kraft paper becomes a treasure map.  Or maybe stamped wrapping paper for a birthday gift.  I could go on forever.  You can find a roll near the shipping supplies and sometimes in the gift wrap section.

And you more than likely already have all these items: chalk, crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, brushes, scissors, glue.

Lastly, some other little things that are fun but not entirely necessary.  Look for them on clearance or in the Target Dollar Spot. Feathers, poms, beads, pipe cleaners, sponges, yarn, washi tape, stamp pads, popsicle sticks, stickers, glitter glue, play dough (store bought or homemade), balloons, felt, tissue paper, foam sticky sheets.
